POLY PODWEEK
14 January - 21 January
Low pressure event dedicated to poly ships and podfic.
Rules
• narrated works must be primarily about a polyamorous relationship, but side pairings are allowed
• this is not a strictly OT3 focused event, ships consisting of more than three people, solo polyamory, queerplationic relationships et al are all welcome
• despite the name, it is also not strictly about polyamorous relationships - the characters involved don't have to define their relationship as such, threesomes et al are equally as welcome
• the event is not fandom or ship specific
• the podfic can be of any length, genre or rating
• qpr fics welcome - in cases where the relationship isn't or can't be clearly defined, but is nonetheless meant to be read as such as such (eg. fantasy or historic settings), the interpretation will be left to your own discretion. Please keep in mind the spirit of the fest and use your best judgement
• NSFW works are welcome and will be sorted separately
• RPF likewise welcomeHonestly, as long as there's three or more people involved you're probably good
Posting
• all works should, preferably, be posted on ao3, where they can be added to the collections created for the event
• due to using the prompts feature for treats, works cannot be added to the collections from their pages, but can still be added during posting
• works are sorted in two categories - SFW and NSFW - select whichever collection applies. If unsure, err on the side of caution
• the account will be promoting any works shared on tumblr, please use the tags #PolyPodweek2026 or #PolyPodweek2026NSFW, whichever applies
• if for whatever reason you cannot or do not wish to post your work on ao3, but will be posting a link to your work on tumblr, use the same tags so that it can be shared by the official account instead
Treats
We all know them, we all love them - treats are a fun way to find motivation, challenge yourself or just make somebody's day!
If there's something in particular you'd like to see during this year's fest, this is how you can request just that.
• to make a request use AO3's Prompt feature by clicking on either 'Sign Up' or 'Prompt Form' in the SFW collection
• the prompt form also includes a template to get you started
• you can find all submitted requests in the 'Prompts' section - as well as on Tumblr! All of them will be cross-posted
• AO3 offers the ability to claim a prompt - feel free to ignore it or use it if you wish to do so

Poly Podweek? Polypod Week? Something else?
It's Poly Podweek! The name is a play on 'poly podfic' =D
What if I can only manage one podfic in that time?
Worry not, the main purpose of this event is to encourage more fanworks focused on polyamorous relationships - and help others find them. You can create as many or as few as you can or want, they'll all be welcome with open arms.
What if I chose a longer work and won't be able to finish within the week?
If you've started working on a story consisting of multiple parts - whether it be a chaptered fic, a series, an anthology, etc. - you are encouraged to post at least the first part within the allotted time.
And even if not, you're still free to use all the same tags, and add your work to the collection.
Official unofficial amnesty period
Likewise, if you're running late posting a standalone work, doing so in the days following the event's end is perfectly fine.
Officially the amnesty period is one week, but practically speaking nothing much is going to happen if you do it later than that. Except that if you're posting 10 months later, it might be better to just hold off till the next year's fest.
Is there a prompt list?
There isn't one and there likely won't be one. Due to the nature of podfic and how - relatively - niche the event already is, a set theme seemed too restrictive.
However, I acknowledge that some direction is often appreciated, so if there's enough interest in having a prompt list, one might be implemented.
